WHAT AND HOW WE TREAT

Our practitioners continually strive to enhance patient care with the most up-to-date techniques and research. Our team is always learning and implementing the most up-to-date treatment techniques and modalities.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE THERAPY

Myofascial Release Therapy is a soft-tissue technique that treats injuries and dysfunction in muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Active/Muscular Release Therapy works by breaking down pain generating soft tissue adhesions (aka scar tissue) which are formed as a by-product of cumulative soft tissue trauma and injury. These soft tissue adhesions often result in an increase in muscular tension, pain, and dysfunction. At Core, our practitioners are trained in the most up-to-date release therapy procedures enabling them to refine their treatment and diagnostic skills.

CUPPING THERAPY

Silicone or plastic cups are used to suction soft tissue, and it is this vacuum effect, or negative pressure, that produces a therapeutic result. Therapists use cups to distract congested tissue, release trigger point and myofascial restriction, and to reduce pain and stiffness.

OTHER TREATMENT METHODS

Our practitioners utilize a number of hands on treatment methods in order to help facilitate healing. These include joint mobilizations, joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy and exercise prescription. We also use adjust therapies such as Ultrasound, Acupuncture, Taping and Interferrential Current (IFC) when necessary.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS

During an accident, your body can encounter a number of forces that can lead to damage; a sprain or strain of any joint or muscle can occur. At times, symptoms are not apparent until several days following an accident.
At Core, our skilled team utilizes a number of techniques to help diagnose and treat your injury sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Our team is also fully licensed to help you deal with the various and sometimes complex forms required by insurance companies.
